Description
The Macintosh “System 1” is the first major release of the classic Mac OS operating system, released on January 24, 1984, along with the Macintosh 128K, the first in the Macintosh family of personal computers.
System 1 had two major system fonts, created by Apple designerย Susan Kare: Sysfont, later known as Chicago, and another font for smaller text. I couldn’t find the name or the font file for the latter, so Iย created it myself and made it available for free download.
This 98-glyph fontย works well for pixel art and a general retro look. It can be usedย with Aseprite, Libresprite, Photoshop, Photopea, and other apps.ย Iย have also created aย GB Studioย version for your Game Boy projects.

Just unzip the .ZIP file and double-click to install the .TTF file.ย For the GB Studio font, placeย the files in your project’s fonts folder and rename them to gbs-mono.png andย gbs-var.png, respectively, if you would like to make them the main font for your game.
