How to Set Up Your NFC Tag
An NFC tag is basically a tiny trigger. Let’s make it do something. Setting up your NFC tag is very easy.
1. Download the App
Download “NFC Tools”, a free app, on your phone.
2. Go to the “Write” Tab
In the app, open the second tab, called “Write”. This is where you choose what your tag will do.

3. Add a Record
Tap “Add a record”. In most cases, the easiest option is “URL/URI” for a website, shop page, or anything online. The list of available options is very long; feel free to explore it. You can write text, contact details, phone numbers, social media, and more. Paste the link or type the content you want to save.
4. Write the Tag
Tap “Write” and place your phone near the NFC tag. Wait a moment. Once the app confirms it, the tag is ready.

5. Test it
Close the app. Tap your phone on the tag again and check if it does exactly what you want. Do not skip this part.
6. Protect It
Go to the tab named “Other” and click “Set password”. Choose a password nobody will guess and click OK.
This way, the tag will be read-only, and no one will be able to change the info it contains using the same process. It will forever link to the info you set, at least until you click “Remove Password” to write something else. Instead, “Lock Tag” is definitive.

Troubleshooting
• The phone does not read the tag: Make sure NFC is enabled on your phone and place the phone slowly over the tag, moving it aroung after a while.
• The tag writes, but nothing opens: Check that the content was entered correctly.
• The app cannot write to the tag: The tag may already be locked, incompatible, or formatted in a way your phone does not like.
• It opens the wrong thing: Erase the tag and write it again, or overwrite it if the tag allows it.
